The Charlotte Bobcats NBA team had the same problem, so they added emphasis on the 7s and took some away from the 1s. MLS will fix this if they want to.

With the full white backs of the FCD jerseys, what does RSL and Chicago wear when playing in Frisco?

Good question. Probably all white, because FCD wears the red shorts.

Chicago wears red/RSL wears red - Dallas wears their blue hoops.

With these jerseys, nobody can wear white against Dallas.

Dallas in blue hoops at home? Doubt that's going to happen.

This is why teams need 3rd jerseys.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, but I doubt it will happen. Now if Chicago had a light blue 3rd jersey or if RSL had a gold 3rd jersey.....

Knowing the way MLS operates all it will take is black electrical tape, 46 cents at Home Depot.

Or the easiest way to fix it would be to change the angle of the serif on the 1 so it's opposite that of the 7 - in other words, instead of the angle going from upper-left to lower right, cut the angle from upper right to lower left. That way they look like two different numbers no matter what and adidas can keep the frivolous slanting style to the numbers.

They could both be the same exact number, but nobody is going to mistake Rocha for Pitchkolan. I watched the DCU game last night and didn't think the issue was that big of a deal.

If this were last year, and Ruiz were still on your team, I'm sure Brad Sham would have an even harder time telling he and Alvarez apart with these new numbers :)

They look fine, but if you're a new fan to any team in the league and were looking at those numbers, you'd have a hard time figuring out what number is which player, which just shouldn't happen with a thing as, well, rather silly as numbers. That should have been fixed in the design studio.

It's just making things more difficult than they need to be.

i dont know, maybe it was one too many beers at the tailgate, but i was constantly confused; thinking wells was leaving his keeper box and getting up the left flank and wondering why fred was hanging so far back in grey pajamas. . . ;)

Ha. I was more concerned with the keeper wearing a light grey shirt with white letters/numbers. I didn't even know he had a number until I saw a close-up shot of him. He needed black numbers.

The numbers look so much more professional, you guys are crazy, the old MLS letters sucked in my opinion they looked so...bad

    I know its small potatoes:

But one thing that really bugs me about MLS uniforms these days is that:

Every single team has their badge/crest/logo on the upper right hand side of their jersey.

Not one single team has their crest located directly in the middle of their jersey.

It would be one thing if the adidas logo was located on the upper left portion as then there would be balance with the crest on the upper right portion.

But thats not the case. For every team the adidas logo is directly beneath the v-neck part of the jersey and every team's logo is on the upper right side of the jersey.

I just don't get the asymmetrical thing -- and it i think a lot of team's jerseys, e.g. la galaxy and dc united's in particular, would look a better with a more symmetrical look

The Houston Dynamo jersey does not have the adidas logo directly below the neck. It is on the upper right side. Colorado is the same way.

And the scudetto nicely balances our jersey.

I agree. I like it centered, too.
