I would like to thank MLS for giving us 3 beautiful games on Saturday. I watched all 3 games and enjoyed each one. MLS, sure come along way since 1996. I also liked the pre game with old COSMOS,s players. The Shootout is such a good deal ,I have died and went to MLS heaven. Thank you again MLS.
We love you too man, but you're not getting our Bud Light (don't know if anyone remembers those commercials).
But if all eurosnobs were like Brrca Fan, then they wouldn't be eurosnobs, would they? -G
Re: Re: Thank you MLS we got time, this league ain't going anywhere i don't care where it is now, it's only going up... no matter the setback
The two games I saw were pretty quality. I had an unfortunate scheduling problem with my TiVo and missed the Metros game (naturally the game I was really looking forward to with the return of Clint), but the other two almost made up for it.
Gots to agree. DC should have won. Chris Albright has snatched and invaded the body of Jaime Moreno. Does any team in this league have 3 players as good with the ball as Dallas and Chivas Martinez, Vaca and Ronnie O'brien. I didn't think so. LA exposed Colorado for what they are.
Re: Re: Thank you MLS It's almost spooky isn't it? But their first really "bad" season (was it 99?) was as bizarre as it got. Never saw a team lose so many points in the last 5 minutes of a match. Arguably Chicago, at least when healthy. I thought Valderrama had a good first half of the season, but it's clear his tank is bone dry now. He was just awful, and so was the rest of his side. On the other hand, LA looked like it could have beat anybody that day. Crisp one touches up the field, good defending, strong in the middle. Overall, it was a pretty good weekend for quality. What on earth is up with KC? How many goals have they given up in the last three matches? 14, 15?
Re: Re: Thank you MLS Or something...man that was painful, and I'm not even a DCU fan, really. I'll add last week's Crew/Galaxy match to the high quality list, despite (or because of?) the fight at the end. The first MLS match I've ever attended, although I've been watching for years.
Re: Re: Re: Thank you MLS Who are we talking about here? Nowak, Beasley, ...? Maybe I should ask the question this way: Does any team in this league have 3 YOUNG players as good with the ball as Dallas and Chivas Martinez, Vaca and Ronnie O'brien? All three 25 and under. I hope Dallas can keep this team together for few years.
moved from news/analysis feel free to thank MLS all you want here, just not in the news/analysis forum
Re: Re: Re: Re: Thank you MLS Haven't seen a whole bunch of the Burn, but Martinez surely looked very good this weekend. Vaca? Good vision, but he seems to be struggling a bit, doesn't he? Seems to want to make the extra pass when he should be going to goal himself. Ive only seen O'Brien for a few minutes, but looks good, too. Juve must have seen something in him.
Re: Re: Thank you MLS It doubt it hurts either. To think they could be offended enough to re-examine their beliefs is like calling Britney Spears a tramp and expecting her to change her act.
Re: Re: Thank you MLS For argument's sake, I'll go with Donovan, DeRosario, and Mulrooney from the Quakes.....
Re: Re: Re: Re: Thank you MLS Yeah, me too. We could always use a team we can wup up on 4-0 and 3-1. Thanks for the 6 points! BUWAHAHAHAHA!
