It just gets better and better for TFC... http://www.torontosun.com/2012/06/18/tfc-players-busted-in-drunken-brawl Silva arrest photo...
Somebody needs to inform TFC that the shots they need to be accurate with aren't in a bar, they're on the field.
Why travel to Houston this far out from a Wednesday game? Although, I suppose it makes some type of travel itinerary sense given that they were just in KC on Saturday.
Weren't they just in KC? Perhaps easier to move direct to Houston rather then head home and head back?
yep. also, apparently easy enough for some players to get into some trouble on an extended road-trip with a few days of only training and down time between matches. will be very interesting to see how MLS/TFC/Mariner all opt to handle this situation. (fwiw, Soolsma and Aceval were unused subs by Mariner at the SKC match on Saturday, and Silva had a 28 min sub appearance: http://www.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2012-06-16-kc-v-tor/rosters)
This is just inane. Haven't they learned from the pre-season incident that you don't go to Houston clubs unless you are going to tow the line (even if you are in the right)? Ok, that was tongue-in-cheek, but this is honestly some foolish behavior.
Well, if you were a player for TFC this season, wouldn't you want to get as drunk as a skunk and start swinging at every opportunity...?
This is what I find the most disturbing. "One of them ran and so the officer ran and the officer took him into custody," the spokesperson said. They - alleged pro athletes - couldn't out run a cop? When they get suspended for embarrassing the club and the league, I hope part of that is because they got tracked down in a footrace by one of Houston's finest!
They were drunk. Despite what drunk people think of themselves, they can neither run NOR fight very well.
I hate to be That Guy, but I think that was Avila. The thing is, not only did it double post, but the damn thing came almost straight back across the line after that 2nd post...that should would have gone in if it was, what, 1/8 of an inch to the right?
It depend on which magazine's faulty methodology you use. Men's Health usually has Houston in the top 10 fattest based a lot on a high number of fast food restaurants, rates of diabetes, and a survey that asked how often people exercised. Money magazine had Houston in the top 5 skinniest based on BMI numbers that they got from phone surveys.
