Our final match in the Canadian Championship qualifying series.

Given the last two losses, this is now a must win game. Ideally by a large margin to run up the goal differential for tie breaking purposes.

A win would put TFC at 12 points. Montreal would be at 6 with two games to go, both against Vancouver. So Montreal would need to win both games by a large enough margin to win on goal differential.

Anything other than a TFC win and Montreal can clinch just by beating Vancouver twice.

And if you're reading this, feel free to drop in a comment - a discussion is much more interesting.

So, we got the necessary win.

Unfortunately, we did it in the minimum possible fashion. This leaves the door at least open for Montreal to win the qualifying on tie breakers. I'm not sure why head to head isn't the first tie breaker, but there you have it.

Ideally, Vancouver would do us a favour and at least tie against the Impact. I really don't want to see Montreal sneak in the back way again after we beat them two out of three head to head.
