He's a natural goalscorer. If he starts on a regular basis I think he'll put up ~15 goals. Once he refines the other parts of his game look out.
Boyd will score a lot of goals. No question. The key is working on shaprening the finer points of his game.
Agreed. I'll add that scoring goals will make it much easier to fine tunes those other skills. It takes the pressure off. Boyd will go through some growing pains as he adjust to the "professional" game but I think he has the mental makeup to leap over those hurdles.

That's is indeed one hell of a debut. I know it was highlights, but the ball moment and pace seemed faster than the MLS. It's gonna be nice knowing he's going to be up top in 2014.
fantastic- thanks. can't we just call him 'my boyd', instead of 'my boy, boyd'? between the connection between boyd-boy and boyd-body there's no limit to the nicknames and chants one could come up with... he played really well. and as for the bike/volley...he will score on that exact play at some point. love how he's always looking for offence and willing to try, and able to try, a shot that most people wouldn't even think of. had a hell of a bike against roma and that second attempt (today) was actually very close. very, very glad to have him aboard!
Comical defending on that last goal. Terrence looks like he is playing against my high school team. Hopefully he keeps this up. Very unselfish pass on the assist. That is a great way to endear yourself to new teammates.
Haha, I think my high school team would have done a lot better than that other team did, that was very poor defending. Taking nothing away from Boyd though
It was bad defending but I really doubt that any HS or College team is better than FC Wacker Innsbruck.
maybe you should reread my post, i was talking about the play that led to Boyd getting that goal, not saying my high school team was better than a professional team.
I guarantee very few HS or College teams have a better name than Wacker Innsbruck, or a cooler derby than Wacker v Weiner. and yes, I am 12.
