What does this mean for us, then? Do we get anything in return for the man who did all he could to escape the view of Crew mgt. and Futsal Fred?
We traded for him last year for a spot in this year's Super Draft. I'm not sure who we drafted with that spot or if we traded it for another future draft pick.
I thought I read it was a "conditional" draft pick, which probably meant that we wouldn't get it until he got onto their roster. If this is true, we've just picked ourselves up another draft pick for Feb. 03
IIRC we ended up with a second round pick which we gave to somebody so we could trade up in the reentry draft and grab somebody no one else was going to take anyway. The whole thing was a joke. But everyone is all excited because Key bagged four the other day in a Timbers game. They're bringing him up in a couple weeks after the A League season is over as a development player.
