About time we dominated something Seriously though guys, We have to win the WC sometime soon. Holland is starting to look ridiculous..........umpteenth attempts at the WC and nothing to show for it??? If we dont get in 2006 then we must win it in 2010 cause thats our colony (SA 2010). Heavyweight. Ever heard of K1? It's a major tournament in Japan, broadcasted world wide. Heavyweight fighters from all over the world with all sorts of styles compete every year. Kickboxing is the dominant/stronger style since all Dutch fighters have a kickboxing background and have won 10 out of 13 tournaments. Besides the K1 Holland together with Thailand are the leading forces. Unfortunately for the Thais they are not as big as western fighters so in K1 they are not present. K1 The weight class till 70 kg (K1 Max) is also dominated by Dutch with 2 out of 4 wins.

Ever think you'd be saying Forlan is pretty good? I still thought he'd turn out well after he left Man U because he was a beast at Independiente. I like Sorin, but I don't really like Figueroa's game. One of those right place right time strikers, and can dissapear for spells of the match.

First you claim that Riquelme only scores against mediocre opposition (as if that's a problem for a midfielder) then post this. Look, just admit you haven't watched Riquelme more than twice and that you don't know much about him. And OF COURSE vdv is an attacking player.

Except that watch the games over the past two and a half years. Even if we agree that he was injured for both Milan legs, he's been a complete non-factor. He did nothing against Chelsea, and has done nothing for two years against us. He wasn't particularly good against even Arsenal and their rickety defense. He was horrible against Portugal and did little against Sweden. (Larsson had a better game, for example, even if he didn't score.) There are players who make their living dominating crappy teams and then failing against better clubs. Ruud used to be a player who didn't do that. His scoring record against top teams was, several years ago, excellent. But he doesn't do that anymore. Does this mean he's a bad player? Certainly not. But does it make him one of the best strikers in the game? I don't think so. Its starting to remind me of Raul's scoring record for Spain. He recently passed Hierro and DiStefano, but upon closer examinations you see hat tricks against San Marino. Sure, its important to score those goals.......but you're not going to be playing San Marino in Germany this summer.
Maybe so but he scored a very important goal against Czecho that should've sealed the game against them. Robben to Ruud which was goal number 2 against the Czech Republic!! (in Euro 04)
