Great match. Never would have picked Arsenal for the title, but they are well on their way. Wonder if a few injuries will pile up and threaten to derail their run.

The darker headline here is the days of United being a joke are, sadly, coming fairly quickly to an end.

Pretty sure Rooney went to MLS to avoid what’s happening to Lampard. Rooney wanted to get better at managing before jumping into the deep end with the EPL.

That's what everyone thought about us in 2008 after 16 years of up and down performance...

He'll probably hang around as a stop-gap manager to come in for relegation threatened teams. Sometimes keep them up, most of the time not. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

For sure, and then H&G happened. What/who is the H&G-level catastrophe in this current United situation?

I suppose it's possible! I'm just not seeing it, from where I'm sitting right now.

    Nicked from Twitter.

I was driving past Goodison park earlier when I saw an Evertonian nailing his season ticket to the wall. I stopped the van and took it.
Well, you never know when you might need a nail!

It won't be a PL level job.
Which club in the current PL would hire him? Southampton wouldn't. BHA wouldn't. Newcastle won't. Maybe Bournemouth? Notts Forest?
Maybe a Championship club will sign him given his relative success at Derby?

Of course - 5 minutes later - he denied it and said they are looking for investments (especially to help them fund the completion of the new stadium - alarm bells should be ringing).

I've posited that this would be a perfect Sportswashing opportunity - but they aren't selling cheap - have 300m in debt - need another 500m for the stadium - and need a complete squad overhaul.

And they don't have the name of a famous city to fall back on a la Manchester Shitty.

Seems like a real ********ing disaster... Ever since Carlo told them to ******** off seems like it's really been downhill.

I have not been paying attention to them this season, but I will be now.
