I dunno, when corners are delivered into the center of five heads, I consider whatever ensues to be fair game. "Good delivery, bad offsides work, great footwork, nice finish" in my book.

I'm confused. It didn't look like that goal was off a corner - it looked like just a long ball out of the back, but I only saw the highlights. Maybe I missed something. But it looks like even the highlights have been pulled...

I am working from memory, too. My memory just begins with the ball coming in from what I assumed was an in-swinger. The way the players were arranged, with so many players in the 6-yard box on both sides, I am pretty sure it was a set piece of some sort.

I think you're talking about the Hamburg goal (the first) I was talking about the 90+1 equalizer that looked to be a long ball out of deep right Kiel midfield. The Hamburg CD got muscled off the header in the air - and it cleared both the CD and Kiel's attacker. Then Vangnoman kinda hopped, and let the ball skid of his noggin, right to Mees who does a good job to blast near post as Ulrech comes out.

If you're talking about the Hamburg goal, I'm in total agreement - thought it was an awesome goal.

Wood got the last 5 in a 1-0 loss. Hamburg may be forced to go to Bobby a bit more if the scoring drought continues. Hamburg drops to 4th. Green's Furth stays 2nd.

No idea how Bobby did, but as he didn't score it's likely nothing to zoom home about.

Wood subbed in at '85 as Hamburg win 2-1 v. Darmstadt. Terodde with both goals, 2nd after Wood came in. (Terodde also missed a PK) No idea how Bobby did. I'll look for highlights. Hamburg up to 4th but a few teams can catch them on points this weekend. Furth in 2nd.

Wood sighting!! While it's hard to say he "contributed" to the goal - he did draw a man or two, was in a good spot and did not get in the way... So I'm going to be positive. (around 1:10 or so.)

I feel like Bobby has put whatever was ailing him...(i think he had some injuries) behind him....and he's back close to the player he was before when he was with the USMNt....not all the way back.....but I get the sense from a recent quote and now some production that he is on the upswing for sure.

Sadly, I think this does count as an "upswing" for ole Bobby.

Yes, it was. Very nice little dink to exacly the right spot. I wonder if any posters around here might argue that the keeper should have come out to get that ball (I personally think it's a lose-lose for the keeper--just outside the 6, would have had to slide out away from near post before said dink was played).
