Okay, so as Shibb says, this idea is Brilliant.

Those two lines really lend themselves to sounding good when sung en masse.

The whole thing is too many syllables and the rhythm is too weird to be used as a cheer. But that was funny.

Question: Are the Canada fans going to be wearing red as well?

copied this from a Chelsea/WBA game from back in the day, but...

    "You're worse than Guadelupe"
    "You're worse than Guadelupe"
    "you're worse than Guadelupe" (lower)
    "You're worse than Guadelupe" (lower)

Slight change really and it works. Strengthen the pronunciation of the two syllable "energy" then remove the delay before the "whoa". Just cycle the two lines repeatedly. Again, removing any delay when starting the "whoa" of the first line.

My thoughts exactly. I'm wearing white, but won't be in the Sam's Army section.

Silverbacks huh? I interned there last summer.

Anyways, I'm going to wear my US jersey with a red shirt underneath so I can sweat as much as possible.

Silverbacks? Oh, Atlanta Silverbacks.......:) Anyway, I'll be going in a white t-shirt as well. I wanted something with an image on it. All they had was white shirts, so i went with it> :D Is that a sin?

OK, once again. Sam's Army wears red. Sam's Army will continue to wear red to get people unified until one day the group is massive, the game is bigger, and people on a massive scale are aware of opposing team colors and then we can start switching between colors. Spreading the word and getting results is much easier when it's an always situation.

Contrary to popular belief most people in Sams Army are not BigSoccer members and a good number of the ones that are members are not heavy readers of it. If we decided to change it wouldn't make much a difference except the group would appear even smaller than it's already going to look in the cavernous Soldier Field

Touche. But, seriously, I would think so. But, Mister Sam's Army two posts up made sure that it will never matter under any circumstance ever.

What U.S. sections are there? I was in 220 tonight and was surrounded by Mexicans, though from the looks of it most of the stadium was.

Well, we didn't really take over the GC last night. I will say this, after being at the game and then watching it when I got home, there were a lot more US fans (or people rooting for the US) than translated onto TV. Not even close to the Mexican fans (although some NOT MOST, but some) were rooting for the US. I did see a lot of Guatemalan jerseys rooting for the US. The guy next to me didn't speak a word of English but was rooting for the US and with my broken Spanish I did get to hear a lot of curse words directed at the Mexicans from him.

When I arrived two hours before the USA kickoff, there must have been 1,000 grills tended by green jerseys wearing fans going already 5 hours before the Mexico kickoff. It was a great scene. The Mexico fans at the tailgate were great, trading food, beers, stories, hoping for a match vs. the USA on Sunday. And it was a great scene inside the stadium too. It makes a USA soccer fan pretty jealous. Great reception for Blanco from the crowd. He'll draw quite a few fans to the Fire games.

Of course, it will be frustrating on Sunday when all those fans are chearing against the USA, but this is life.

Ticketmaster tells me there are no seats available for the final. I've got mine with Sam's Army, and I was wondering how well the rest of the SA section has sold. This will be my third cap, and I'm bringing a friend for his first. He's going to love it in SA, especially with it being US/Mex.
