They do get money for qualifying for Champions League. So I’m sure they are using that money to help cushion the price for KMJ’s services

I perceive that like a ransom to free him.

Apparently he stood out as showing lackluster effort in their game about a week ago in a 3-3 tie. Maybe he's trying to force Beijing's hand? The CSL also have another transfer window the month of Sept. and so that's when they might move him if they're able to find a replacement. Also, Beijing lost their last game 2-1 yesterday so maybe that might affect how he's perceived if they enter a bit of a slump?

Lackluster effort looks awful if negotiations are ongoing.

If anything it’s confirmation he’s not getting the transfer he wanted.

Apparently, he's been taking the lackluster approach for the past few games now. He's being heavily criticized for his play by Chinese outlets. Beijing haven't won in their past three games with their defense being a major part of the reason why.

    https://sports.ndtv.com/english-pre...ae-pulled-from-china-press-conference-2285075

He was also pulled from a pregame press conference last week by the manager to "protect him" from "criticism and questions."

Also, it seems that it's a two horse race between Lazio and Tottenham at this point. Rumors connecting with a move to either team have resurfaced again. This tweet set off another round of intrigue.

Lazio is a better club at this point. Spurs would be lucky to finish top ten this season. At least Lazio is headed to Champion's League.

You might have to rethink about that. They're signing Reguillon and Bale

Lee Jae-ik joins Antwerp FC on a 1 year loan with option to buy from Qatari club Al-Rayyan. Dude was on the U-20 world cup team last year.

The latest twist on KMJ to Lazio is that...it is true that Lazio is in the mkt for a CB but that they did NOT officially submitted a letter of intent to Beijing for KMJ.

If true then he may end up in Tottenham bc Lazio was never in it for KMJ....hmmm

Wow, a club that has the most right-wing supporters in Italy that puts up banners of Mussolini isn’t actually in for an overpriced young Korean center back?

Really shocking. Even more shocking that any of you are moronic enough to even want him to move there.

It's crazy how many conflicting reports I've seen regarding him. Because literally about less than 48 hours ago, there were Italian and Chinese sources claiming that they had the transfer all wrapped up and were merely awaiting his signature.

With Tott, some (idk who) were claiming that Tott were going to bring him in (this was may or june) very soon, but then ???

Would you really want one of the best young Korean defensive prospects to go to a club with a high transfer fee (and thus high expectations) and have to deal with abusive supporters if he falls short of expectations? Would rather not have to see his confidence and motivation get crushed by such a bad move
