CSKA medium and low block failed to stop Monaco's attacking-minded play. The guest had left many vertical and hrizontal-spaces which was exploited well by Monaco's players.

Monaco's build up vs CSKA's initial press. Simple horizontal shifted by near-six disengaged him from the opposite-player's cover-shadow. The arrows on the left back and the players from the last-line indicated the raw movements within Monaco’s next progression.

Three lines of attack and a third-man pass from the first-line (orange-axis) to the third-line (maroon-axis). Exploited the vertical-space.

    CSKA's high-block press.

Subasic played the ball to the left, to Mendy, and dragged the focus of CSKA’s block to one side (Monaco’s left hand-side). After Mendy passed it back to Subasic, the goalie quickly switched to the right, to Sidibe.

Notice the position of Ionov and Golovin. Ionov didn’t make any good, as his positioning couldn’t serve the best pressing-access to Sidibe. So did Golovin. The attacking-midfielder occupied the zone 14 which also didn’t positively-impacted to CSKA’s press. As the result, Sidibe received the ball comfortably and progressed through the flank.
