    2-0 after 89min

Costanzo kicked the ball in out first, then Zanni fouled in the area - stupid
Costanzo was also too much out of his goal at the first goal

Zanni and Costanzo were just bad again
Cristiano and Buckley didn't bring anything
    Sterjovski not much

Basel lost top players with Zubi and Delgado and the ones they got in exchange are not worth it. And they really should get rid of Zanni as well. He is just making too many mistakes...

anyway, Basel still has a chance to qualify. They have to beat Nancy and draw Teplice at least.

    --------

and our UEFA ranking will look worse as well tonight as our opponents are winning points

    bad day

positive: Kuzmanovic, Petric, Rakitic, Majstorovic, Ba and Eduardo

Kuzmanovic should earn a call for the NT

What a horrible night for. Almost all goals were scored in the end of the games. Hopefully that will send a strong signal to swiss managers

No offense, but Grasshoppers probably wouldn't have much of a chance in Alkmaar.

Must say that Grasshoppers didn't look bad. The final result was a bit harsh.

that's what I meant - better losing away then at home...;)

this way they would have two home games against easier opponents... It's not easy playing Braga abroad as they're very strong at home. But unfortunately one can't switch the matches

    10' Liberec - GC 1:1

Liberec took the lead in the 6th minute (another Coltorti mistake?) but Roland Schwegler right away with the equalizer.

    HOPP GC!

    2:1 Liberec

Another "stupid goal" by the sounds of it.

yes it was quite unlucky, not too much of the defense fault though.
gc can't get a grip on the game so far. Liberecs defense looks quite solid.

Toure hits the post and Pinto misses the rebound.

Things just don't wanna go our way...

    Another Coltorti gaffe. 3-1 Liberec.

We're just about done. The UEFA Cup group phase continues to be a nightmare for GC.

All this after such a promising international start this year...

As per normal Balakov cannot motivate the team for the big games. Basel, FCZ (x2), Alkmaar, Liberec..... the list goes on and on.....

And how many more goals does Coltorti need to cost the team before people realise how shit he is?

Getting rid of Jakupovic was a very bad decision.

    What a finish in Basel!

FCB threw everything forward in injury time and got caught by Nancy in defense. Costanzo fouled, got red-carded, and Nancy was awarded a penalty. All out of substitutions, Mladen Petric saves the penalty as the keeper!

    FT: Basel - Nancy 2:2

FCB with a small chance left...

only saw parts of the matches...

it's ongoing: GC is not winning any points in the UEFA cup group phase just like last year. And the journalists just say "this young GC team" AND "lack of experience" etc... Well, I guess they have at least as much experience as Liberec.

the excuse was similar for FCZ and YB

Basel is doing a bit better, but still not good enough. Only an away victory can save them now. But that might be just what they need
