Frei scored his 20th goal of the season this weekend. He also made the Ligue 1 All-Star team this year.

    - We have a new coach abroad. Marcel Koller will take over at Bochum and try to bring the club back up immediately.

    - Some press reports now state that Hakan has all but signed for YB.

    - It seems Spycher is very close to signing with Eintracht Frankfurt. There are also rumors that link Huggel to Frankfurt as well.

Hi guys, I'm new on board.

According Top 11, Hakan Yakin has signed at 99,9% by YB and According L'Equipe, Frei will still play for Rennes next season.

I hope that Alex Frei will find a good team next year, maybe in Spain.

Born in Zurich. I have been a Swiss abroad myself for the last eight years (Texas & Dubai) - but go home at least once a year.

Jonas Elmer, eh? To my knowledge he has never played for GC's first team. Chelsea also tried to get Rakitic but he opted for Basel. Anyway, I wish him the best of luck and hope he gets a fair chance at Chelsea who seems to prefer "finished players."

Hopefully we'll at least get some kind of a transfer fee.

Fine by me if he likes it in the Bretagne. He can help Rochat adjust to Ligue 1 football.

PS: Frankfurt is still interested in Huggel.

Johann Vogel wechselt zum AC Milan

WOW...that is a huge transfer for him and I heartily wish him the very best for his future. He has been very loyal to both of his club teams so far (GC, PSV) and truly earned his chance at one of the world's biggest clubs. I'm not very fond of AC Milan (I detest everything Berlusconi) but it's better than going to Lazio.

Almost makes me wish they would've won yesterday, Vogel could have been the third Swiss competing for the world title at the club level in recent years (after Chapuisat and Sforza.)

Gee didn't see that one coming
But when you think about it it makes sense since Vogel were terrific against Milan..Wonder how much he'll play though..just look at Dhorasoo, world class player who has hardly made a start this season (ok he's been injured a while but still)

Yes, excitement aside, there is still the lil' issue of playing time at a club like AC Milan. The fact that Ancelotti gets to stay should work in Vogel's favor. On verra...I have confidence in Johann.

Well, one thing i am certain of is that we won't hear any complaints from him ;)
Wonder if Ambrosini leaves, then Vogel will be the number one backup for central midfield

Anyway it looks like this summer will be very busy with lots of swiss changing clubs

    Already done deals:
    Magnin
    Rochat
    Lichsteiner
    Degen
    Elmer
    Vogel
    Spycher

    Probable:
    Huggel
    Roth
    Behrami

    Returning from loans:
    Chiumiento
    Barnetta
    Vonlanthen

Must have forgotten a few

Daniel Gygax is very close to signing with OSC Lille. St. Etienne has also shown interest.

Looks like Lille and Frankfurt have been watching plenty of ASL football...

I wonder what is going on with Roth's transfer to Bolton. The last thing I heard it was almost a done deal.

Arsenal will offer a new contract to Senderos. They will double his salary for next year (it will be around £15000 a week) and extend the contract until 2010. Well deserved indeed...

A fine reward for a fine player.
