Re: Sweden names squad to face Mexico/South Korea

Well both Johansson and Ostlund is more "merited" players then Lundqvist and Djuric. Lundqvist has a few years on his neck now, but Djuric is a massive talent!:)

Sveriges startelva: Jonas Sandqvist - Fredrik Lundqvist, Olof Persson, Teddy Lucic, Mattias Nylund - Niclas Alexandersson, Daniel Andersson, Stefan Ishizaki, Tobias Hysén - Johan Elmander, Marcus Rosenberg.

bah, its just filled with overated crap or mediocrity like Ishizaki, Elmander, Hysen. I think we'll lose with 3 goals.

I disagree, on calling Hysen mediocre :D

However since I have just seen that Mexico in fact are playing a quite strong team, I would be suprised if they did not win against us!

To be honest for a while, both Djuric and Rosenberg would be part of the real NT if they were just only located in Stockholm and its just, quite sad :(

Don't know what they're thinking by not letting Djuric play.

It'll be interesting to find out how Rosenberg-Elmander will work. Naturally, I have a clear favorite between them, and with no idea what shape Elmander is in at the moment, I'm hoping Marcus will prove who's the better of the two

Other than that, let's not be overly pessimistic. Sure, we'll likely lose (not knowing exactly what team Mexico will field), but if we manage to keep up for a while, make a match of it and net a handful of goals, I'll be satisfied. ;) Honestly though, not sure what to expect

I reckoned some of you would say it, since apparently even thou using quite a strong squad you did not manage to score against our B-side:) Anyway good luck in the future I am a big fan och Mexico and your fans!:)

Pretty sad that Mexico couldn't get at least get a single goal against the Swedish U-23's. I guess the Tri's phoned this one in.
