The franchise drags its increasingly lifeless body back for another go at it. Redemption Island is back (boo) as are two former players (double boo). wanna know who they are? Well, I guess it says right there in the link so no surprise. http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/08/24/survivor-south-pacific-ozzy-coach-return/ Never missed an episode, but this series is trying my patience.
Its Survivor-- you almost always have to invest half a season of watching to get to where it starts to get interesting; but after that it pays it all back with interest...
Team with Ozzie: Keep him for challenges, ditch at merge point if possible Team with Coach: Keep for amusement, ditch when he gets to annoying
Yeah - the last pairing made some sense. Good/evil whatever, but both good competitors in challenges and good at building a camp etc. These two seem decidedly oddly paired.
I don't like the idea of returning members but if they are gonna do it and Coach is one of the players returning the other should have been Phillip. Think of the amazing inspirational pep talks each team would have gotten.
i liked it when survivor did a good enough job casting they didn't need gimmicks my prediction: both will be gone before the merge and Ozzy definitely within his tribes first two votes.
i can't believe we haven't had our annual 'this show is still on??' comment by some holier-than-thou guy who thinks he was the first to have thought of that witty comment. (we will now, though )
here's probst talking after the first day of filming back in May http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/09/01/survivor-south-pacific-jeff-probst-ozzy-coach/
My wife read on one of her reality tv message boards, that one of the Survivor SP cast members is going to be Russell's nephew. Supposedly he looks and talks just like him.
if you read the links on the first page, you can see his pic and bio. I don't think they look alike at all and I saw him on a commercial, wouldn't have even known they're related if it didn't say.
should have looked at the link before I said that I guess the apathy towards this upcoming season is too much.
That Conchran kid is annoying as f**k. All of those brains aren't worth shit if doesn't know when to shut his mouth.
Cochran is BY FAR my favorite. I love the kid and will be pulling for him. Plus, saw somebody on Twitter mention this, but he's a dead ringer for the guy from Ratatouille: overall, the show was better than what I was hoping for. looks like a decent cast.
For a family values guy who says the brash lingerie football player is someone to stay away from, Little Hanz seemed to stare at Makayla every time the camera was on him. Very funny. I think the cast would be fine without the returners. They made it . . . awkward in a way last season's pair did not seem to.
