Questions..... which team will have brought more of their supporters to MLS Cup at the HDC. Chicago Fire in 2003 or D.C. United in 2004 ? haha. just realized when I posted this that the East game hasn't started yet. So just answer the question after the game depending on which team wins.
Re: Supporters at MLS Cup.... If they bring only half the fans that showed up at RFK to MLS Cup, the stands are gonna be rocking. Although, it would probably be better if they brought ALL of them, not only to show huge support for their team, but also because I fear that KC's fanbase might not take up that many seats (or decibels).
Re: Supporters at MLS Cup.... Did you write two 0s by accident? Their home game supporters don't seem to be more than 20-30 strong at best from pictures/video. Not a dig, hat off to those that go raise noise. I think we have 200 tickets for our section, and then we can get surrounding ones too.
Re: Supporters at MLS Cup.... So how many supporters did the Fire bring to MLS Cup last year? Will DC supporters be able to top that number this year?
Re: Supporters at MLS Cup.... Chicago brought a pretty decent number with a huge banner and drums but only really got vocal and played the drum about every 20 or 25 mins so they didnt have too much of an effect, I am going to go and cheer for DC just like alot of people that live in the South , no, I am not a Adu Bandwagoneer I just cheer for D.C. because they are the closest team to me, btw I picked them for the East pre-season.
Re: Supporters at MLS Cup.... Actually we have way more than that at our home games. For the conference final there had to be at least 200 in the section. Now don't get me wrong, not all of them clap/chant the entire time, but they are there. Guessing how many KC fans are travelling is tough. I feel safe saying at least 50-100 will be in the section. But we're not organized (except for 20-30 coming from the Cauldron), but there will be random fans that travel and buy tickets in section 127. How many do you think DC will have in their section. I realize we'll probably be overpowered, but we gotta try right? See you in LA.
Re: Supporters at MLS Cup.... We have a pretty good response on a poll I started in the DC United forum. 58 yes votes so far, but for some people (myself included) a yes means more than one person. I'm not sure how many fans the Fire had last year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see at least 500 United fans make it to LA this weekend.
when counting Fire fans last year, you cannot only count S8 at the HDC. There were one or two Fire sections at midfield and many fans in the other end as well. In S8 I think there were 200 or so.
DC supporters are really exceptional about this. Even though I'm the leader of The Legion 04 supporters club in Columbus, I applaud DC supporters for they're devotion.
So what KC might not have as many there, i applaud ANY and ALL fans who travel to LA for the cup. Thats some serious dedication to put money on airfare and hotel and all that good stuff for a league thats not even a decade old. my guess DC-250 KC-100
Barra looks likethey made a good showing, i cant see KC AIM CHATROOOM FOR THE CUP send yourself an aim chat request with the name of the chatroom as bigsoccerdcu
Indded. Now the big comparison..... Who rocked the house in Carson better? 2003 - Chicago Supporters? 2004 - DC supporters?
