Help!!!! Anyone in Paris tomorrow night, please tell me where to go to watch the SuperBowl. I'll try Hard Rock Cafe, but not sure they will do something
The superbowl will be shown on France 2 (national public network) ; all you need is getting close to a TV set...Of course, if you're looking for a bunch of Football lovers as well, I dunno.
So much for comparing France's and Germany's relationships to the US...: In Germany it won't be shown on free TV.
You know you could also try the Long Hop in the Latin Quarter... Usually a lot of Americans hang out there. I will be almost certain that they will be showing the game.
I've checked the webiste and they have shown previous NFL playoff games - I would image they will be showing the Superbowl. http://www.long-hop.com/ Do get there early though - it can get crammed on busy nights.
When I was in Cannes for Football Expo 2001, I watched the SB in the Planet Hollywood on the allées de la Liberté...isn't there one on the Champs Elysees in Paris? These outposts of Americanism are good for just this sort of thing...
Actually they seem to show the Super Bowl on a digital Radio TV station (it comes in through the air, not by cable, don't know the english expression) a friend of mine receives. So I'll watch it... just some qwuick infos: who's playing,. and whom should I support as a New England fan?
Not only did they show the game, but the public channel did set a special program in its studios with lots of 'followers' in it. I didn't know about that otherwise I would have given the info.
Until now I was completely unaware that France shows the Superbowl on a public channel. Learn something new everyday.
Actually, nothing was censored here for a start. Everybody just laughed about the US when nipplegate happened :-D Anyways, I am quite sure that this was the first time it was shown here on free TV.
