    Euro Super Cup Final
    Chelsea FC Vs. Villarreal
    8pm GMT
    Venue: Windsor Park, Belfast.

Windsor Park is the home ground of Linfield F.C. so this should be like a home game for us.

    Tammy Abraham in the squad.

Tuchel said players who featured in the Euros may not start or figure against Villarreal.

Chelsea will be appearing in the Super Cup for a fifth time. Since winning their first in 1998 against Real Madrid, the Blues have failed to lift the trophy in each of their last three attempts

Time for us to get the 'rub of the green' in this match, for gods sake don't let it come down to penalty kicks! :)

Am I right in thinking this doesn't impact world club cup qualification and that we have to travel to Japan in December regardless of this result (pandemic permitting)?

Yes. You know, winning the CL compared to the Europa League.

I wouldn't put it past fifa to claim the super cup winners as the uefa representatives.

No need to be snippy about it.

If it were true I would not mind loosing to avoid the long trek to Japan mid season

That is exactly where my head was at. A trip to japan is not ideal.

Alonso and Emerson are still with us. Weird.

Chalboah supposedly going out on loan. I wonder.

FIFA/UEFA are foolish but I don't think they would be that desperate to keep us out. Maybe if Platini was still running things.

Sorry. Didn't mean to come off that way.

Lively start, should be a few goals in this game with all the space out there (cue 0-0).

I think Alonso is worth keeping for those games where we have the possession and need to find a way through

Not how I wanted to see pulisic introduced. Hope ziyech is alright, looked like nothing much happened. Wingers really are a brittle breed.
