ROFL: Amazing! Harry Redknapp stops for a TV reporter at QPR's training ground and DOES NOT wind his window down for a chat! I think that is a Deadline Day first... Harry Redknapp has kept his car window closed as Gary Cotterill tried to quiz him on the latest happenings at Queens Park Rangers. Despite being blanked by the QPR boss, Cotterill is reporting a £6 million deal has been made toTottenham for midfielder Sandro, who Redknapp brought to the Premier League during his tenure at White Hart Lane.
Jonathan Hope, the man brokering a potential move for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck, tells BBC Radio 5 live that three clubs want the England player - including one in the north-east. Hope says there is an £18m price tag for Welbeck, while there is a £3m fee if the move is a loan. "There are two clubs who will meet the fee, the other want him on loan," adds Hope. "You have got to remember Danny is an established striker. He will change any team in the Premier League." More on the Danny Welbeck deal -- or no deal -- with story and counter-rumour swirling around. Some reports suggest that Arsenal are denying that any deal is in place, and also denying that Welbeck is having a medical. Sky Bet have reopened betting on Danny Welbeck's next club with Arsenal 1/2 favourites and Tottenham 3/1.
Harry Redknapp tells Sky Sports News HQ that Sandro is a "fantastic player" with a medical currently ongoing, and the club are "in talks with their people" when asked about the possibility of signing Fabio Borini.
Welbeck's agt. saying Danny wants a transfer not a loan. Spurs only want loan, ManU wants 18 large to help Arsenal out. He doesn't want to go to the other option. I just wished they had splashed on DePay and Bony early on when they had the chance. They could've just spent today dickering with Southhampton to pass the time.........
I don't get the Falcao deal. UTd surely has problems in midfield and the defense so they instead buy antoher striker, lol
Remember when United fans complained that City were vacuously spending large sums money in order to buy success? Oh the irony...
I think City and Chelsea buy some players just to keep the rest of the PL from buying them to be able to compete
DONE DEAL Posted at 20:32 News from Crystal Palace. It's not the club record deal of James McArthur but they have signed defender Zeki Fryers on a three-year deal from Tottenham Hotspur
I'm a BMG fan. Ask how Bayern got so big nobody (looking at you Dormund) will ever be allowed to compete domestically ever again.
LvG probably finally realised RVP career is over. RVP has been poor for a long time. Even in the WC, he was good only against Spain and then invisible for the rest of tournament.
It's turning into a class reunion at QPR. Glad the Holtby thing is only a loan for now. I don't think he would displace Ericksen, but as somebody else asked, who is the backup at that position?
Barring something dramatic looks like the club made a 10 million profit this window. A real shame we didn't pick up another wide forward though and dump at least one of Lennon/Townsend.
Arsenal have applied for an extension to try and seal the signing of Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck. window is now closed - they may still get the "paperwork" timing done yet falcao deal isn't official yet either
