I know it's early but rumors are already flying.

Big one today seems that Spurs will land Balotelli in exchange for Lamela... I call serious BS on this one

yeah but he is one of the best forwards in the game. the problem with him is he is basically Adebayor 2.0 get him in the right mood and he is unstoppable, get him in the bad mood and he destroys your team from within

I agree he is good, but he is similar to Ade and that alone would be a headache for any coach. Throw in Kaka and you have a deal.

Will anybody write us a letter saying thanks for our approach? Or perhaps dedicate a nutmeg in an international friendly to us? These are the things I want to know.

Really not much to do this summer except a new manager and keeping hold of Lloris/Vertonghen (altho Levy will want to cash out that greedy scum). Anyway, as last summer showed, the less movement the better. A top quality LB and another CB and i'll be happy.

I wonder if Soldado will bail, and it will be back to the desperate search for a striker.

Isn't Ade's contract up this season too? Might need a couple of strikers.

Players I think we should sell.

    Kaboul - Too injury-prone.
    Chadli - Not good enough
    Siggy - Inconsistent
Soldado - If we can get back a double digit transfer fee, sell.
Kane - Sell or loan to a EPL club and see if he is good enough

    Needs

    CB, LB, LM

    Contract extension.

Eriksen - Must convince him to sign a extension, at least it gives us more of a leverage if we sell him after next season.
Vertonghen/Lloris - Seriously doubt they will sign since they may even leave this summer but hopefully 1 of them will.

I know we don't need anymore CM's, but I really like Clement Grenier. This guy has got the vision we need in midfield and he is creative as a similar someone we had before. Some players will be going, but this guy has the tools to be a great passer of the ball for us, but I highly doubt we will be in the market for him.

I watch him a lot on Beintv.. Awesome player.

If Cardiff get relegated could be worth bringing him back, as it is I'd be surprised if we kept Kaboul given his injuries and contract status, let alone Vertonghen. Saying that, Cardiff have leaked a lot of goals, he is a player that needs someone experienced alongside him.

Tottenham open talks with Romelu Lukaku over £25m summer move as they battle Everton for Chelsea striker

If Chelsea signs Diego Costa, it's unlikely they will keep Lukaku.

Broken record, but I’d do whatever necessary to get Martinez from Everton. At each step up in resources he’s done well, to my rather untrained eye he seems to have an actual tactical plan and an ability to adjust those tactics if they get them wrong. I think he’d be able to get the best out of Soldado, Lamela & Eriksen. Though I wouldn’t grumble with Pochettino either his preferred formation would work well with the personnel currently on the books with the caveat of getting some decent fullbacks.

i can't see Martinez leaving Everton for a while, not until he at least realizes he can only take them so far with their financial backing. I also wonder what his relationship is with ownership and chairman since Levy has destroyed many managers with his hands on approach.

Lukaku would be a good signing, we only have 2 strikers, Kane needs a loan. Caulker needs to come back. Vertonghen needs to stay till the end of his contract and I bet if we can make champion's league he and Lloris would stay. We DESPERATELY need to sign a LB of high quality and even with caulker another CB since Kaboul is never fit. Quality LW would be nice too.

If Everton failed to make the CL, then I think we will have a chance with Martinez.

But, Everton will make Champions league, watch it happen. We are in the midst of the Annual Arsenal Swoon™ and are approaching the Annual Arsenal Dash To The Finish™. But, unlike our team, Everton may be made of stronger stuff to stave off Arsenal. This Sunday will tell the story.
