Huge. De Silvestri never learned to cross the ball so we are picking up one of the best 3-4 Italian RBs over the last 5-10 years, just as he is entering his prime. Loan deal with a buyout clause. I'm guessing De Silvestri is gone and Romulo is both vice-Cassani at RB and vice-Cerci at RW as it seems that we are sticking with the 4-3-3 since we were not able to get either Gaston Ramirez or Aquilani to play as a trequartista in a 4-3-1-2. Cassani will be presented tomorrow.

Great signing. I like De Silvestri but he's definitely not good enough to start and hasn't progressed much. I wonder if they will try Romulo on the left, because I don't particularly trust Pasqual to play every game.
I've read a couple things suggesting that Cassani may end up playing on the left with Romulo on the right. I wonder how much Cassani has played on the left. I know Balzaretti has had that spot locked down since he left us.
I also heard that Miha sees Romulo as a winger, something I'm not thrilled about. He looks more like a poor man's Maicon than a poor man's Alves, if you know what I mean.
It hasn't been announced as "official" yet but the arrival of El Tanque will mean that an EC player (most likely Gulan) will have to go. He spelled Pasqual at LB last season so that sorta ties into this fullback discussion.
solid signing. i once (not anymore but at the start of the window), wanted him over lich, but very solid player at least top 5 serie A RB.
There's a good article on Cassani at http://www.whoscored.com/Blog/djvhi...na-Bologna-The-Exception-That-Proves-The-Rule I reckon he'll do well for Fiorentina, and will be fine in the first match of the season, in particular. He's a big part of what Fiorentina needed to sign over the summer so I think he'll be a great addition.
Thanks for the piece. I wish I was well enough to discuss it with you a bit. I linked it on the match thread.
