it means nothing & common for Liga Nos clubs to include absurd release clause in the contract (for example, Junya Tanaka of Sporting CP has 60m euro release clause)
It's interesting that his contract runs until 2020. I have an inkling that SHJ only needs to serve 6 months in the military due to his family's circumstances. I guess we'll find out in four years.
if they want to make that clause a reality, then keep feeding him the ball into the box....rest is up to him
If I recall, he's the only child and son of a single father. And SHJ is his father's provider, so the six month rule may apply to him. If he's a single son and child three generations down, then he's completely exempt.
Unbelievable amount work from suk was behind the Porto move. Could've packed it in and came home but went the hard way and now he is one step closer to his dream. This is now the beginning for him. I think suk time is now.
Hopefully he does well and more Koreans end up in that league...I'm actually starting to like the Portuguese League a lot.
it's smart business really. you're guaranteed a huge profit on the chance your scouts were right with low risk since they usually buy cheap talent. if they bust, you can always discard.
I have to think that there's some tax or labor law reason or something. You don't have to include a release clause. And obviously you can sell for less than release clauses value.
