Good they won without conceeding a goal. I was little worried that we were slipping goals.

    The last two results...

    0-0 vs. Chile
    0-0 vs. Colombia

...not very impressive. Especially the result against a 10-man Colombia!

One last game against Uruguay to secure a place at the U-20 WC, and possibly attain a spot at the Olympics in 2008?

It would be a shame to not qualify a team to the Olympics. Imagine Messi, Aguero, Higuain, Gago, Ustari etc... defending the gold medal in China 2008?

    We'll see what happens Sunday!

    wow!

We scored in the last seconds of the game and just as the celebration began it was over: 1-0 Argentina over Uruguay, goal in the 47th minute.

We qualified for the U20 and Olympics. We can defend both our titles! :D
Who cares if we don't finish first. ;)

My summary of this team: They need a lot of work with their chemistry, and they are very weak on offense for an Argentina team. Their defense is mediocre. Still this team had enough talent to pull some upsets and come close to beating the better teams. In the end they tied with most of the best teams, and this win along with the ties should bring some comfort that they can compete just with this team. However, they really need to bring in some stronger guns on the team and work out the kinks.

    Vamos Argentina! Cya in Canada!

    Congrats,

    typical of Argentina, que cueva

It should feel good knowing that Argentina can defend both titles

On another note, game was mediocre, Argentina has a lot to improve, they are far from their true ability

keep mouche and sosa, add mauro zarate (turns 20 in march can he still play?) and higuain, add a couple of more good surprises and we should do a bit better.

Bien hecho pibes, aunque dejaron mucho que desear, lograron los objectivos.

    Phew...that was close.

I don't know if we deserved the win? What luck! To clinch in the final seconds was incredible.

While I am happy that we will see this team at the WC and the Olympics...I am concerned about their chances this June in Canada.

Which European based players will join this U-20 Team this summer?

    Any guesses?

I don't think any european based players will be called for the U-20 tournament, they all need vacation after long season. specially Gago and Higuain, they have been playing continuously for too long.

Would be a shame, because imagine a team with Messi, Aguero, Gago, Higuain, Tevez, Mascherano and all... We could possibly retain both titles
