Great form in Europe, which should bolster the team in the Premiership. Fine goal by Downing who is playing as well as that other celebrated youngster for Arsenal. It is nice when you have more than just fresh legs coming off the bench, but a bonafide threat. Someone who either can change the pace of the game, like an Ole Gunnar Skolsjaer (sp?) for Man Utd or just score, like a Bobby Pires for Arsenal. Downing seems to be doing a little of both. Between Jimmy Floyd and Mark and Stewart, Boro's got three capable scorers, which is about two more than Chelsea , so you have to be pleased with that. Anyone got a link to Downing's goal?
he scored again today, the man is on some great form now (3 goals in 3 games), hope he can keep his place in the team now and really develop into something special.
