Not sure that's an argument to get one of us to buy it...... can you spin out a "This is Why you should Buy!" story?

rkupp may not be one of those slick sales guys, but I was the one who bought the book.

It's an entertaining read, nothing really earth-shattering, but if your'e a Liverpool/Nicol fan and/or followed the English league during the 80s, you'll certainly find some good stories. Lots of amusing stories about the various personalities, the difference between the "Liverpool Way" of doing things, compared with Scotland and some of the other clubs.

While I was hoping that there would be more detail on his Revs days, but it seems that this was written more for a Brit audience, so there was probably not as much interest in that part. Sill glossing over 10+ years in a couple of chapters? I dunno.

All in all a good read.

Glad to hear it's a good book - may pick up a copy. Shame he glossed over the revs but also not that surprising. Losing 4 MLS Cups in 6 years is probably not something he's proud of!

It's also akin to playing for the Red Sox and winning titles, then coaching the PawSox -- whether you won or not-- it's just not the same.
