The HBO Perry Mason is much better than the Showtime Penny Dreadful: City of Angels series which just finished. Both set in LA in the 30s. Similar plots with both having churches led by young women involved in terrible crimes.

I did not write this one. Someone else was already pretty far down the road. I'm looking forward to reading it! Surely I will do my own book on this topic and the contents of this book will help shape my own thoughts on how to proceed. I figure it's better to build off what's been done and add to the total body of work rather than plow ahead simultaneously at the risk of duplication.
