I do t know if anyone follows the Westminster dog show on TV but one of my oldest friends - fraternity brother, my floor freshman year, etc - is a big time dog show judge. He has been literally everywhere, did shows in China, Japan, Thailand and the Phillipines in the last 3 months but spends about 6 mo ths a year in Europe ( his French is impeccable) and bas worked Westminster the last 3 years. He lives a ridiclously cool life and if he and I werent so close I'd hate his ass.
Swenson's has a secret menu: https://614now.com/2020/food-drink/secret-swensons-off-menu-items-you-have-to-try
I've gotten the broken onion rings, cajun-style, and I have been known to order a chicken sandwich galley boy style. My kids like to come up with their own milkshake combos.
For some years, the one in Jackson had the Galley Chick. It was taken off the menu, but they know what you mean if you ask for it.
Well, this is related to STC... And it's one time you'll want to read the comments. This Ashley Webb seems to not be exactly honest. 1025207123729244161 is not a valid tweet id Here's the FB link where I found the tweet. https://www.facebook.com/groups/CrewSCfans/permalink/2970800822983056/
Well, she did some STC stuff and didn't compensate for a while, per Scott and Keith at the FB link. Also, I wanted to spread the word, didn't know where to put it and since this is sort of a general "anything goes dumping ground" of sorts...
I bought one from her for my son (Crew) and mantle pieces for my son-in-laws (Cubs, Browns) and they were terrific. She then approached me in the summer to see if I needed something else and I ordered a special piece for my cousin and his husband for Christmas. I paid her upfront as she had delivered without issues before. I messaged her in November and she indicated she would have a tracking number for me a couple of weeks later. I reached out after Thanksgiving and got a nasty message from her, then was blocked on Messenger and Venmo. I lost $350 in the deal which I hate to lose but won't kill me. I obviously did some research at that time and found a bunch of Twitter and other messages telling people to be aware of her. I believe she's someone who has been battling drug addiction and relapsed. While it sucks for me (and for my cousin who never go the Christmas present he deserved), I hope she gets the treatment she needs before it kills her and I hope others don't fall victims to her approach while she does.
Obviously, different people have reported different results, but you're not the only one who reports your results. I echo your comments about her getting the help she needs.
Uh, she didn't "do some STC stuff," she used the STC logo without permission. There is a huge difference.
Greased Lightning was playing on one of those relatively obscure OTA channels last night. That movie features something NASCAR needs more of -- Richie Havens as a car mechanic.
In fairness he didn’t complain about the thread just questioned if it was STC related which it is indirectly STC related wether he agrees or not
Jesus Christ on a bicycle you people really don't believe in reading comprehension, do you? Here, I'll make it easy for the mouthbreathers among us: Mr. Sheppard (@Kryptonite, for those of you that haven't had the pleasure), stated that saga of Ms. Webb's fraud scheme was related to STC: To which I responded: And then this outrageous claim was made: I call bullshit on that, and stated such here: Why is this difficult to follow? I don't give a flying monkey sh*t how far any thread gets off topic - especially the Random Shit thread - as I'm fully capable of scrolling past the plethora of banality that occurs here with increasing regularity. But when someone makes a claim that deserves to be questioned I'll not shy away from doing the questioning - regardless of the thread title. Kindly get bent, f*ckers.
@LaMacchia, my reading comprehension is quite fine. Though from what I have read over these many years, I cannot vouch for some of the other nerds around here.
I'd be very interested to see this exhibit and the turnout.... https://www.experiencecolumbus.com/event/saving-the-crew-that-matters/66927/ "Saving the Crew that Matters" is a social practice artwork and civic project that calls into question the priorities of Columbus city leaders. Why is the construction of a new Crew stadium being subsidized with tax money while public school buildings continue to go without vital repairs and updates? Why does city spending appear to be prioritizing projects that benefit only rich and predominantly white constituents? This project consists of signage and postcards available for public distribution. Those who want to express their views and participate in the project can visit the Urban Arts Space, 50 West Town St, during gallery hours from February 22 through March 14.. "Saving the Crew that Matters" will also consist of the Human Library. The Human Library is an interactive resource for people interested in gathering live, first-person research on Columbus civic and social justice issues. At each session, a featured human or humans will be available to give their perspective on the Crew stadium funding controversy and the state of Columbus city schools as an opening conversation. Questions and tangents to other civic matters thereafter by library users are welcome.
