I was hoping one of the players was going to run after him and try to catch him, that could have been very entertaining, but they were all to scared.

Where did he go when he ran off??? Its a mystery.

Is the squirrel expected to get a two year ban from football matches? Shame if it is, the world cup is just around the corner.

Oh man, if that squirrel had gotte anywhere near Mad Jens, who knows what he would have done.

Although, the squirrel and Lehmann in the same shot would have had me on the floor laughing.

Beckenbauer and Chinaglia just signed him to a five-year deal as starting winger, including the proviso that the team name be changed to FC Red Squirrel New York effective right now. Mateschitz has already written the check.

    Along the same lines...

    From vitalfootball.co.uk (Gunners fanzine site):

Jose Maureenho, has made an audacious attempt to lure Arsenal's new superstar away from Highbury for £20m.

The Russians from the bridge got wind from Highbury last night of a real gutsy performance from the new addition to the Arsenal ranks.

    Jose said,

'He looks very special, he can be special, we can both be special together'

'He put in good performance, performance of Champion, he can be champion'

'He is not very tall, but he is quick, I like quick players'

'Will his tail fit in the shorts? I don't know, but if it doesn't, we buy new shorts'

When asked if he thought it was a little bit soon to judge whether a Squirrel would be good enough to play in the Premier League Jose said.

'Squirrel? He is not Squirrel, he's is from Portugal, he is a warrior, not Squirrel.'

The wages are thought to be around 20,000 bags of nuts a week.

    :p

When in the match did the squirrel appear? I missed him (or her) but have the tape.. I don't have time to watch it all at the moment..
The match report doesn't have the time the squirrel came on..;)
