Our campaign in the inaugural UEFA Conference Europa League Conference Cup League will begin August 19th with the play-in round, against either Pacos de Ferreira of Portugal, or Larne from Norn Iron. While you are busy being underwhelmed, use the google machine to look up who Arsenal have got. The competition has a very cool green logo, though.
And Portugal is the destination on 19th, after Pacos beat Larne 4-1 on aggregate. Bit of background on the opponent here. https://hotspurhq.com/2021/08/12/tottenham-opponent-pacos-europa-conference-league/
Kane is not playing, I repeat, Kane is not playing. The official line is he's not 100% fit yet. We all know Levy is giving Citeh a chance to find extra cash down the back of their sofa
Nuno has announced that none of the starting XI from Sunday will be in the starting XI for the Pacos game. I think that is the way to go, there is really no incentive to risk our best players in this competition.
Very young Spurs squad on the whole here in Portugal. None of the starting XI from Sunday involved in this training session. No Sissoko either. All three new signings involved along with Winks, Sessegnon, Lo Celso, Davies and Doherty.— Alasdair Gold (@AlasdairGold) August 18, 2021 Could be an interesting team still. Gollini, Gil, Romero, Sessegnon, Scarlett, etc
Yeah. Every name involved is one you'd like to see getting minutes.* it'll be a weakened side, but hardly a weak one. *please resist any inclination to make a snarky Winks comment, please and thank you.
I wonder who will play center back. Rodon picked up a minor injury in training and is unavailable. I think that leaves Romero, Carter Vickers and Davies. Should be interesting to watch, though an illegal stream will be required in the US.

I have no problem with that XI. They should be able to do the business. The bench, however, shows a bit of arrogance. I mean, you'd think you might want to have at least one or two proven players who'd be able to change the game if things somehow aren't going right for the starting XI. Having kids available to blood if things are going great is fine; but every single one of them? If we struggle, well, we'll just struggle. No one coming off that bench will cause the slightest consternation amongst our opponents.
Don't think so. I know I can't see it. Just monitoring progress. But I really should go out and mow the lawn.
Scarlett has had no service at all from the wings. Gollini has looked confident despite the goal (not his fault).
I hope there is some lawn mowing going on, because the alternative is watching grass grow. They're gonna s**thouse the rest of the game and live off the 1-0 for the rest of their lives.
I know nothing about this competition and frankly can’t be arsed to look it up. Is this a home-away series or are we out after this (which I am not all that disappointed were that to be the case)
That was pretty shit. No shots on goal, unless I am forgetting something. If we are taking this competition seriously, then some of the first team need to play next time.
Bad plan by Nuno, unless he's happy with losing and sees the competition purely as an exercise. Weak bench and late, pointless subs. Need to hammer them at home next week. Remember Young Boys?
