It's back to Florida at the end of a long week for what could be a crucial match (or not, if the Cosmos win their game, which starts an hour before Indy's). Miami is truly dreadful, which makes this (a cynic would say) the kind of game in which Indy struggles. Ring and Palmer are still out with injuries; Ubi and Janicki are questionable (although they've made the trip south).

33' Strikers score against the Cosmos. They lead 1-0. Keep it up!

I'm watching on ESPN3. The Strikers are doing their job, leading 2-0, but Indy looks toothless.

Busch's anticipation and positioning are so good.

HT 0-0. Need to do better in the second half. We're playing like Miami sims good team. This approach worked against Minnesota (which actually is a good team). It didn't work against Jacksonville (which isn't), and it's not working now.

    Cosmos lose!

Indy just needs a goal and they can win this game.

Speaking of "where are they now," here comes Dane Richards for Miami.

Zayed fails to capitalize on a Miami mistake. Not even close.

Pumping aimless balls into the box now. Duke is about to come on. And he does, for Patterson.

Personally I would rather lose going for the win tonight than settling for a tie.

Wasted FK by Vukovic. Felt the absence of Paterson there.

I have no idea why Haninson hasn't put in his last two subs.

Miami with a dangerous chance. Three minutes of extra time. Indy is playing without urgency.

And Hankinson makes a defensive sub: Keller for Zayed. I'm baffled.

Two obviously tired teams, and we don't even use our second sub until stoppage time....

    0-0. Very frustrating.

Now Indy has to win by 4 next week to take the Spring.

What a waste. It was all there for Indy, and they didn't go for it. I'm disgusted.

That's draws in consecutive weeks against two of the worst teams in the league. On the road, yes. But with the championship on the line, they played timidly and defensively. Bringing on Keller for Zayed says it all, really.

Agreed, I'm putting this on Hankinson. He needed to make an aggressive move in the last 20. Instead he left the tired players out there, and settled for a tie.

As a Liverpool, fan looking back om 2008-09 and 2013-14, I'm painfully aware that there are no trophies for second place. What's the point of playing it safe?
