The backline players I like to see in the 11: Logan N, Ben S, Isi. So, that's two left backs and a CB. The midfielders: Walter and Tzonis. So that's an 8 and a winger, which in a 4-3-3 means front line player. Frontline? JFR So I'm advocating for a switch to a lopsided 3-2-1.
Doyle certainly agrees with your assessment of Fontas. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/seve...ning-before-the-primary-transfer-window-close
Oh man. Watching that replay of the goal and focusing on Fontas and Walter is so cringe inducing. Fontas steps up and whiffs and then gingerly shuffles back like he's trying not to blow out his knees and Walter is just lost in no man's land and never makes a decisive move.
Blech. SKC have had a foolishly soft gut for years now, but watching that I see a team that has a disastrous inability to defend in the middle at all. That sort of goal should not happen to a professional team unless they're down a man. Just, to crib a very British-announcer sort of term, absolutely shambolic.
