    Trombone sounds great in the rest of the stadium. I wholeheartedly approve.

    Completely agree. Thought Yankee Doodle Dandy was awesome.

    QFT.

    I can't stand the trombones, but then again, I can't say I like the drums either.

    At least they're not the v....v....v....that-which-must-not-be-named.

    This as well - and I know it is hard, but this is one that actually needs to be sung, rather than shouted, in my opinion. I also think the non-profanity '...we don't care, whoever you may be....' fits the tune better than what we're currently doing.

    "give a damn" is resque? Come on, that is a little far fetched.

    Well, it was in 1939 when Rhett Butler said it. :)

    My, was that risque back then.

    Look how far we've come! :D

    Eh - I don't think its risque anymore, really. That said, I think the vanilla 'we don't care whoever you may be' fits the tune a bit better. The Chelsea version of the song comes off as really being laid back and unconcerned, which I really, really like.

    How about this, sung to the tune of London Bridge is Falling Down:

    [No goals]
    Your defense will let you down
    let you down
    let you down.
    Your defense will let you down
    Here comes Sporting

    [1+ goals]
    Your defense has let you down
    let you down
    let you down
    Your defense has let you down
    [number of goals] goal(s) to Sporting

    I like this. Easy and catchy. Seems to be the sort of song that might spread outside of the Cauldron.

    After seeing You Are My Sunshine done live from TA, we really need a signature song. I'm a big proponent of the SOTR at the start and closing with We'll Meet Again.

    Or maybe we should just all go to hell and sing this in the 80th minute. The sad thing is it could work.......

    Does Collin have a song/chant yet? If so, please share. If not, anyone have any suggestions? Any traditional french tunes we could steal and change to english? I for one think he has earned a little something special.

    He deserves something. I was going to make a banner or something, but looks like someone beat me to it.

    We did one at the open cup game that I liked. it was basically ah, ah, ah, aurelien collin, clap clap clap clapclapclapclap.

    Jeff could be more specific.

    wish this didn't have so much silence, but maybe we could drag out the last syllable even longer to fill the gap... @ 1:08

    Since Collin has embraced America and vastly improved Sporting Kansas City, I think it is both incumbent upon us and only fair that we learn La Marseillaise.

    Any time he scores, is carded, or does something bad ass (which he is doing with great frequency), we belt out La Marseillaise. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4SJv61i6Bo"]It worked in Victory![/ame] :D

    In 102 we are going to do:

    Here is our chant sheet for the Wed match, 100 to be passed out in the section.

    We will plan big chants at 20, 40, 60, 80 minutes.
    20 - Final Victory (Horto Magiko)
    40 - Bloody Sporting KC (Honoring 10 game streak to Snoopy vs. Red Baron)
    60 - Bar-be-Que - (Vindaloo)
    80 - Final Victory (again)

    Here are the downloadable MP3 for the songs for our section to practice. Recorded just me to let others practice with a clear audio recording. Hopefully will get some recordings at the game as well.

    Crossing my fingers we pull it off. We did OK with the SJ game and Horto Magiko.

    Also Section 131 leader Rob Swenson and Section 102 are going to do try to start a call and response with:

    "Kansas" (west side) - "City" East Side chant at the 10:00.

    Any help from the Cauldron would be greatly appreciated.

    I came up with using Aurelien (Auh - Reel -ee-en) by substituting it for Mahna Mahna. We'll try it in 102 whenever he makes a good play in our end.

    Also, I hate to be the a-hole and step in here(was hoping James would, damn) but let's not do the Kansas City chant. Stealing from the Sh*ttle fans random yelling is painful and I don't want to see it ever done in our stadium.

    We are Sporting will work again, like that one, will get the rest of the stadium pumped though.

    To be honest, that was my first thought when I saw a tweet about it earlier today.....really, we want to basically copy their chant....let's push for some originality at least.

    I applaud the effort, but I personally don't think this is the direction we really want to go. We can come up with a better way to get everyone involved....and not by doing the wave either....I'm looking at you James!!! :p
