Garay the most likely CB to recover on time and play against Sporting.

hoping of a great and exciting game.

Hopefully Sa pinto's record stays in tact. He has never lost to Benfica as a player or as a coach with juniors or as assitant on home fied.

Yannick Djalo starts the 2nd half! Replaces Rodrigo.

It took Cardozo 37 minutes to get his first and only touch of the first half and Rodrigo is the one to come off?

    Forca Djaloooo!

    I want Nolito and Nelson!

Sporting deserved it. Congrats, played extremely well. Benfica was shit. Emerson got schooled once again.

Artur was amazing, Tremendous saves! Kept Benfica from getting pounded 5-0. World class GK.

    Porto campeão.

Sporting's constent pressure all game long led to Benfica's many mistakes and horrible passing.

Aimar's absense was surely felt on the field as no one stepped up to control the offense. Aimar makes such a difference with his style and pace. Benfica creates so many more threatful opportunities with him on the field.

Can't believe Benfica had 65% of possession and Sporting outshot, out classed, outskilled with the little time (35% posession) they had.

Benfica played better against Chelsea with only 10 players than against Sporting with 11 players.

Now Benfica need to win all matches and Porto need to lose and tie a game. Sounds impossible but not when they play Sporting and Maritimo. If Sporting play the way they played, Porto are looking at a loss. And Martimo can definitely pull and upset on a good day. Not holding my breath but crazier things have happend.

those possession stats are more reflected on the last 30 mins of the game were sporting defended and played the counter attack.

Benfica also plays maritimo at the Luz if i'm not mistaken.

Sporting simply showed up and played for Pride and played well. Benfica were the ones that needed the win and played like shit. I can complain about the ref but I'm not going to. Regardless of what he called or may have failed to call, Sporting deserved the win and were unfortunate to have not won by 3-4. I'm giving credit where credit is do.
