I've said before, I'll say it again: Spector is a central defender. He is most comfortable there, and plays his best. Regardless of US Men's Nat situation, I'd rather see Spector get minutes in the middle in England- since I think he'll ultimately make his mark there. For Charlton in preseason, he hardly played outside. His 'impressive' form was when he played centrally. Here's hoping he can start, play well, and lock down the central position for a while. Charlton due a good game also, so the timing is good.
Actually, starting today would be a helluva test for the young man. Owen and Shearer, and Newcastle coming off a very disappointing loss. Owen was said to be invisible last game. Newcastle is likely going to be fired up for this one, or at least play well- and if Johnny's can play well- that should speak well to his quality. I think Owen is going to be on a mission today- I just hope JS can stop him. Shearer at home always dangerous
The other reason why today would be such a great test: Both Shearer and Owen are small, quick guys w/lots of experience. The exact kindof guy you would think would be JS's weakness. He better bring his 'A' game today.
BBC Five Live is reporting that the field will be inspected to see if it can go ahead. Blackburn's match has already been called off.
Are you serious about Shearer being small and quick? Unless Newcastle have another forward called Alan Shearer then he isnt.
Thanks. It's not that important I guess but it would give some insight on his place in the pecking order right now.
the back four was supposed to be Young - - - Fortune - - - HH - - - Powell i guess his cameo wasnt good enough against Arse the other day...is this more evidence of scapegoating???
You tell us. When will he know if he's staying in Charlton? Is the deadline 12/31 or 1/31 for United to recall him?
not sure of the terms of the agreement...for some reason the 1 of January rings a bell as the deadline to call him back...if i find out more i'll let you know
