OK, Spanish rights in Asia has been settled at least on a local basis. There is a new cable channel in Hong Kong called "Super Soccer", 24-hour soccer contents. It just started last Saturday.

    The menu this weekend included:

    - Real Madrid x Valladolid
    - Osasuna x Atletico Madrid
    - Albacete x Barcelona
    - Seville x Deportivo
    - Valencia x Malaga

Similarly, SuperSports has acquired the rights in Thailand.

In other words, ESPN Asia is not going to get the rights.

    No news regarding Latin America.

However, a deal is pending for the US (NOT ESPN, NOT FOX).

    GOL TV?

Available on Cablevision in NYC, and on Satelite..gr8

    Is that it?

Getting a carrier with a little broader distribution would have been nice.

OK, ESPN finally got the la Liga rights. It's ESPN Taiwan and ESPN India, starting this weekend.

ESPN Dos (Latin America) ran messages along the bottom of the screen during its Italien League game that it was negotiating the rights for La Liga still but wouldn't get the deal done this weekend.
