maybe Allegri just is not very wise when it comes to seeing the benefit of national team teammates playing together .... Pioli gets it.
For me, Wes is playing his most impactful soccer since arriving at Juventus and has shown to be better than what the backup is offering. That backup just happens to be another YA. Rabiot is not playing great but he is contributing goals and Fagioli has probably solidified his position as the other CM over Miretti. Bottom line is Juve's in 3rd place, 2 points back of the Milanese clubs without much reason to shake things up.
1/0 is the infinite question indeed. having said that - Yunus subbed in once to join CP I believe. so twice now they have played together.
Players play far more games (plus training) with club teamates than NT team teamates. A few games a year with the NT isn't going to develop so much more chemistry between players that it should affect a coach's decisions.
Weah has 33 caps, how many of them were with Wes? Probably 25 at least....agree generally it won't make much of a difference but he has nearly a season of playing with Wes plus all the training camps. I'm not sure if they overlapped at the youth level with Wes a bit older.

Too bad its coming at the expense of Tim which I felt was doing okay as a recent arrival....but good for Wes.
Big picture it does us no good to have Wes playing RWB and Weah on the bench. I salient point however regarding Juve is, if Wes is providing Allegri with what he wants at RWB then Weah was never the type to go after in the transfer market. They are entirely different players. I'm glad they dropped points today as I don't support this nonsense.
Juve was obviously content with the away draw - but even so the lack of offensive ideas was stark. I think they might eventually want to find McKennie a role that takes him further from the touch line, because their midfield minus Pogba is a bit uninspiring. Locatelli seems like a very polished player but doesn't really impose himself on the game, Rabiot is inconsistent, Fagioli is meh. McKennie also has his shortcomings, but today Juve looked like they could have benefited from his intensity in a more central position.
not in these italian teams, they dont ...which is super frustrating as a usmnt fan how many minutes have cp and musah actually played together this season? wes and weah?? it feels like these clubs are doing a bit of marketing / jersey salesmanship or something odd....
When I said club teammates, I meant all teamates, not just USNT players. Players can have just as good, or even better, chemistry with non-NT teammates.
I think it is the inverse. Club teammates could be a boost to USMNT, not so much the other way around. I like Wes more as a midfielder, but he appears to have locked down that RWB/RB spot. That isn't a terrible outcome. Weah is at least getting run, and so the coach does see something.
Juventus reverted to being utterly boring this week. I’d hoped they had turned a corner in that regard.
I couldn't even focus on the game it was so boring. I have no idea how Wes played lol. My personal opinion is that Allegri gave Weah some starts at RWB and there was something that he didn't like in the performances (he even said as much publicly, I believe). Despite what we thought when we watched Weah, he wasn't following some of Allegri's directions and lost the spot to Wes. Now Wes is in a weird spot, because I believe that Allegri won't move him to the midfield until Weah is able to prove to Allegri that he's learned from those mistakes and is ready to start again. Each week I hope those 10 minutes he keeps getting is enough to convince him that he's ready and then maybe Wes will get a sniff of the midfield. The other thing I noticed is that Wes tends to stay very wide when he plays RWB, but when Juventus has the ball Weah will cut into the middle of the field. That's such an obvious thing, it has to be instruction from Allegri. Just strange to me that the two play the position so differently. Also, it seems contrary to what I would expect - let Weah stretch his legs on the outside and let the "midfielder" drift central. Anyway, I'm probably completely wrong just some observations.
