Interesting, maybe only to me, that it looks like Wes ended his partnership with adidas and is now rocking Puma boots. He has the Puma future Zs- a cleat I ended up buying and loving (for my old man Rec league)

Good pressure and tackle from McKennie but his cross lets him down. Puts on more pressure to ear a throw.

His long throw is then deflected on an the volley is missed, but that’s the right area.

McKennie with a quick long throw down the right channel for Chiesa, who then puts in a beautiful cross but Vlahovic wasn’t ready for it. Might have been just high.

McKennie with a great cut back and square to Locatelli who cleverly lets it go for a scuffed shot.

    Random from the commentators:

This is the first time Allegri has started the same side two weeks running since he returned.

    112 different lineups.

    Soccer is so damn fascinating.

12th minute Sassuolo take the lead after an error from Szczesny off a rocket from Lauriente.

Wes is really opening my eyes as to his versatility. Who knew he’d be so great at the RWB position? Only bummer is it’s preventing Weah from being in the game simultaneously with his fellow Yank.

Wes doing very well even though they're down 2-1 early on the second: getting praise from the Italian commentators, good numbers on the rating sites, and has been mentioned in a positive light by the coaching/PR staff before the game.

Usually, all those positive signs mean, for a YA, that he's about to get benched.

    Schalke.

Funny, I always viewed it as ... who thinks he's any good as a CM?

Wasn't he playing there out of necessity at Schalke? Just like he played as a CDM and Forward at times. As an 8, I think he's fantastic in the midfield.

Just saw some quotes from Poalo DiCano. I think he was a bit of a...well, I'm not going to elaborate. But I always thought we win as a team and lose as a team. Win...crickets. Lose...it was him!

Can you link them or post the quotes?

Wes certainly wasn't a reason for the defeat. If one would put blame, it would be on Szceszny and a particularly difficult evening for Gatti.

Google is my friend “McKennie is loaned to Leeds and contributes to their relegation, can he be a regular in a team that wins the championship? I don't want to destroy the player by saying he isn't capable, but there are values. In that area the chain was (Federico) Gatti, (Fabio) Miretti, McKennie. How many teams would these three players play for? Not only those fighting for the championship. Are they starting players to win the championship?”

Yeah I mean Gatti and Miretti both looked poor to me. IDK why mckennie got lumped in there after that game.

I agree with Gatti and Miretti, but even Juve fans have recognized Wes elsewhere in forums. Miretti especially has been flat out poor and even Fagioli looks like an upgrade.

Pretty bizarre comment to include McKennie be honest. No, he hasn’t won a major trophy elsewhere but you could say the same for many Juve players.

Edit: I’d even begin to be on the Vlahovic skeptic bandwagon now. Guy has been getting chances and fumbling big time.

According to fbref he is +2 on xG so he has missed some big chances but still converting.
