Let’s be honest, you are a hero.

I once told some French kids I never go to a French restaurant without ketchup as a joke and I thought they were going to fight me.

I disagree too but I don’t think it’s just about focus. When your career is playing soccer and that’s all you do, you pretty much have to improve your first touch. He may never have Freddy Adu technical ability, but McKennie is a player with skill who can and will improve. Part of it is a function of his style of play - but his passing and in-game intelligence are both clearly getting better.

It’s not typical for players to continue to bloom as pros but we’ve seen it before with Yanks, partly because of how they get started. One of the best examples of that was Cobi Jones who barely resembled a soccer player at the start of his career.

And now he's moved on to barely resembling a soccer commentator.

To paraphrase Diane Chambers, there’s stuff growing on my shower curtain that’s better than Balboa.

That'd be like some Italian coming to the USA suggesting pesto on our hot dogs.

I have had pesto in a hotdog. Hipster restaurants will try anything to be cool

IN a hotdog?!?!? On a hotdog, I could sort of get the point of trying it but actually in the damn thing?

For those watching that Amazon Prime series, is it worth viewing? Does McKennie feature a lot?

I am finding it worthwhile as I am learning a lot about Juventus. As for your question he doesn't have a big role but he is mentioned a lot and has appearances in each episode. I think I am on episode 5 or 6.

Could you elaborate? What does it primarily focus on? Any particular learning you care to share?

I have never been a big fan of Italian soccer, I have found it really boring over the years. So I really don't know much about the teams other than the big names. So I am learning about their culture, how the club works. How the older players want to pass on the legacy of the club to the younger players. How they know they are in a rebuilding stage. So for someone like me that did not follow Juventus till McKennie arrived it is very informative.

He’s walking off under his own power at least, albeit with a limp. Hopefully just a minor strain of some sort.

Juve is in deep dung. They need to get rid of Dybala, get rid of Morata, get rid of Chiesa. Even Messi will do more pass then these three.
