I remember Halloween after the '89 Quake. I lived in Santa Cruz and it was a mess. Halloween was a real bandaid for kids! Hopefully kids in So Cal will get some relief tonite! This applies to my kid as well down there in SD. I just talked to her and she's preparing her costume for a Halloween Party tonite...she sounds like crap...but she's ready for some fun with her friends! :)

No apologies (or edits) necessary! It was just an observation. :)

    From MLS Confidential:

"START THE BUS: The raging fires in Southern California that have destroyed homes and blackened nearly one million acres of land have also disrupted travel in and out of the region.

Closure of the Los Angeles International Airport last weekend forced the Galaxy to take a bus home after it tied the Quakes, 1-1, in San Jose.

For the first conference semifinal game at Home Depot Center Saturday, the Quakes were planning to fly but if the fires spread airport closures might require a change in plans. Smoke, soot and ash from the fires have also severely worsened air quality in Southern California.

A bus trip from San Jose to Los Angeles takes about eight hours."
