The only problem with Irene's is they don't have FSC. Owen's is the only bar on the island that has it, as far as I know. I was at Irene's last summer for all the US World cup games (except being at PPL for the England match) and they did have a great atmosphere. They even turned off the Phils during the WCF.
Wish I had the cash to rock a midweek bar night....I don't have the Fox Soccer Channel. ARRGH! WHY!!!
...and they are loathe to put it on. You'd think that a business would try to cater to the only 2-3 people in the bar when it opens at 11a, but instead, they look at you like you just insulted them when you ask them to put on FSC.

Watched an away game at the "mile" for the second time in a row. Can't tell you how nice it is to watch a U game in a bar with sound and fans. Anyone know if they play national games? EPL?
