I think the biggest story is if Klinsmann has Rubio steering for a 3-5-2 and the win.

2nd place is the new black!

Good news for HRC in Nevada ... :whistling:

Yeah, I'm having doubts about her chances. But it's hard to really know.

It comes down to this: HRC did her homework and has been organizing the state for a long, long time. On the other hand, there really are many portions of the state with Democratic Party electorates that truly are highly favorable to Sanders. It all depends upon who shows up, and the Nevada Caucuses, which are so new and untested, are so hard to predict.

Before somebody asks when we should start looking for results...

South Carolina polls open from 7 am - 7 pm.

The Nevada caucuses begin at 11 am local time (2 pm on the East Coast) and first results should begin arriving two or three hours later.

Enough that if I were running one of the campaigns, and we narrowly lost, I'd be screaming bloody murder.

Well, apparently they haven't closed the doors everywhere.

    Splendid planning again ...

Can someone explain to me why Primary Day isn't a state holiday where businesses close for half the day when the caucus/voting occurs, and why national election day isn't a full Holiday for the nation?

Well, the tea leaves are trending just about how I fearfully expected.

More woman than men voting, and Clinton leading among woman

    http://www.cnn.com/election/primaries/polls/NV/Dem

And yet it doesn't show Hillary leading by any of the racial demographics. Something bizarre going on there

That would allow too many people with rigid work schedules to go vote. Blue-collar skilled labor, unskilled labor, perhaps voting against the wishes of their employers...

That entire entrance poll is pure bs. It says just 30% of the Caucus is moderate conservative, while 70% liberal. That's a MUCH higher % than NH and Iowa

MSNBC has Jon Ralston on the set.

So I'm going with that channel.

44% of caucus goers are men, Sanders winning 55%.
56% of caucus goers are woman, Clinton winning 55%

That indicates a safe Hillary win

I knew Sanders would do well in Northern Nevada.

I'm quite certain he'll do well in Reno as well - Washoe County really. Knowing the place as I do, Sanders is a good fit.

So it is all down to Vegas.

Its a weird state of politics. Hillary is going to win by 3-4, and Sanders will be declared winner by the media.
Rubio will finish a somewhat distant 3rd. And will be declared winner of the South Carolina primary by the media

And Hillary should win comfortably there

I'm still wondering who will win the raw vote vs the delegate count.

Keep in mind Obama won the delegate count in 2008 and HRC won the raw vote.

An important benchmark: In 2008, 71 percent of the Nevada Democratic caucus vote was in Las Vegas’s Clark County. As of 4:30 p.m. Eastern, however, only 42 percent of the votes reported were from Clark County. That bodes well for Hillary Clinton, who is winning Clark County by 9 percentage points so far

I'm assuming this is where Hillary's money comes into play. I know Bernie had "momentum", but she's got the organizational advantage significantly
