Just noticed this for the first time. Listed on Soccernet, provided by our friends at Elias Sports Bureau
Weird though that it's listed as being from Nov. 15th, and it's their 'Stat of the Day.'

I fail to see what is so amazing or erroneous about this?

The article CLEARLY states that is was published on NOVEMBER 15 - the article CLEARLY refers to events that HAPPENED IN THE FINAL YESTERDAY i.e. the MLS final of Nov 14 -
That's why it's the stat of the day for that DAY

It's like picking up a newspaper from November 1st and wondering why the basketball boxscores that is shown on November 1st isn't up to date for the basketball games played on November 30th. Presumably you don't do that, so I'm at a loss to understand the purpose of your post.

Do you also read articles on soccernet from 2002 talking about how Ronaldinho plays for Paris St-Germain and wonder why he isn't listed as a Barcelona player?

Easy there buddy. It was weird to me because I'd never seen it linked there before. It was interesting to me because I'd love to see a Stat of the Day feature on soccernet on a daily basis. Clearly this Stat of the Day was for that particular day, but if you haven't noticed you're in a forum called Statistics and Analysis.... Welcome aboard newbie.

Aaah. I just clicked back onto soccernet and instead of this link being listed as the 'Stat of the Day' it's now 'MLS Cup Notes.' Go figure.

I remember seeing this page before MLS Cup. For some reason though the date was just changed.

As for Soccernet, it is primarily an English site. You can only get player profiles for players who play in the English Premiership. Therefore it's really no surprise that they didn't update Ronaldinho.
