Benefiting the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation On Tuesday 2/22/11 against the Phoenix Coyotes the Sons of Ben will sit in the second level for an off-season get together. We’ll have an opportunity to sing, chant, hoist our scarves and even do a little pre-gaming. Tickets are $30 each, with a portion of each sale going to CFF. This is a nice discount from the Flyers. You can purchase tickets at TicketLeap here. We are limiting each purchase to six tickets. We will be sitting in the back five rows of three neighboring sections, for a total of 142 seats. If we sell these out there may be a possibility for more, but we would need to lock in the seats soon. The Flyers are well aware of what we are about and they say anything goes, with the exception of smoke. Prior to the game we’ll have a set up for drinks where we will raffle off Union & Flyers merchandise to benefit Cystic Fibrosis and who knows what other surprises. We are still working out the details for the distribution of actual game tickets and will have more information available as we get closer to the event. Your TicketLeap receipt DOES NOT provide entrance into the game.
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers It hasn't been up long and we've already sold a bunch, I wouldn't wait long... Easy, Celtic...
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers thank God there's no goal kicks in hockey, hate to challenge the Flyers policy on cursing.
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers I got my tickets This just reminded me, I'm going to be a "soccer hooligan" this weekend at one of the parties here on campus. I put that in quotes because contrary to hooligan fashion, I will be wearing a jersey. In fact it will be a Celtic jersey... I'm really tempted to buy a flare and bring it with me...
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers Guys, this is awesome. Not only do I get to hang out with a bunch of SoB, but I get to benefit a charity that I have such a strong connection to. My cousins daughter has Cystic Fibrosis, so this really means a lot. My cousins 5 year old daughter Alayna at Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan during her most recent stay in the hospital in July. She is receiving breathing treatments here and is on many antibiotics and other medications. She takes over 400 pills in a month.
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers Just an awesome idea and an awesome cause. My best friend from high school has CF. She is now 28 years old and is living a "normal" life due to research. Without it, she wouldn't be with us anymore. Kudos to whoever put this together, and to the Flyers for accomodating us.
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers Is this for SoB members only? I would love to participate in this. Kenny Hanson 133 Illegitimates
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers Not entirely sure, but we did have to put our membership number in when we purchased the tickets
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers Right on, thanks for the info. If anyone knows more info it would be much appreciated. We would love to hang at a flyers game with the SoB's.
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers We've obviously targeted this to SoB members but I really don't see why you wouldn't be able to join us. Right now we have a certain allotment of tickets so we may have to go back for more if they're available since sales on this are going very well which is a great thing for the cause!
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers I'm betting there might be a few regular Flyers STH getting cranky with us standing and getting doopid the whole game.
Re: SOB Night sat the Flyers I don't want to sound like a whiney spoiled brat but I'm kinda bummed were gonna be spread across 3 sections only 5 rows deep. We'd look much more impressive if we could get like 15 rows in one section, not to mention it would be easier for us to stay on the same page with songs and we could do cooler tifo displays (if we're even planning on it). But if we do have 5 rows over 3 sections I think a card display mite be a cool idea that could work.
