Liam's mother thinks we're all screwed in the head. G-man has more games under his belt, so he can keep the belt for a while. Plus, I know he comes from a good family.
Little Alex Solares, the scoring terror of the Braddock Road Youth League is set to make his Barra Brava debut this saturday.
Kewl, Chico! Gman is going to play in Fredericksburg this fall. I know he will be happy to have a new kid to kick a ball around with. Garth really enjoys playing with the kids at tailgates. Mark
Inside joke.... My nephew Alex told me that when he prays at night he asks..."Dear Lord, please let my Uncle Chico take me to a DC United game" His mom verified the story.....
I took it to mean our prayers for quality strikers in years to come are answered. Jaime's replacement, Alex Solares! Rimando's replacement G-Man Moose D. Mark
Being Alex's pop, I can concur this! Every night, it's please lord, I want to go to the D.C. United game. Guess he needs to be initiated this weekend, don't you think??
I spoke with Ernel who is also bringing his 5 year old son and left a message for Mike Terry to bring his son. Looks like we have the makings of a pretty good PeeWee game at our tailgate. I think bringing the kids a change of clothes is a pretty good idea. Lot 8 should be a big mess tomorrow.
Thats because I already answer her prayers, nightly (Hey, its the internet I can say anything I want )
Hey, is this a for-sure thing? I'm coming to the game con mi esposa y hijo,* and if I could promise that there'd be a game for my son--he's 7, by the way, but not a bully with younger kids--I might be able to win the "let's stop by the Barra and have a beer on the way in" arguement. * did I get the Spanish right?
Well I know my niece Christine (7) and my nephew Alex (5) and the Gman will be there. Ernel said he's bringing his son, and Oscars kids are usually there. Bottom line, it's probably going to be just a good kick around with the kids considering Lot 8 is probably a frickin' mess. Regardless, show up and let the kids all meet each other and have some dogs and a soda.
Sounds good. Hope we can make it. My little monster will have played three games by that point (tourney tomorrow--the quiet-side seats were included), so he'll be pretty subdued. But I'm sure if he hears there's a kick-around going on, he'll perk up a little.
