Apparently, the Dems did put up a candidate against Istook. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/OK/H/05/index.html. Istook's district is OKC and the surrounding area (not including Norman) and Cole's district is from Norman south to the Red River, right? I seem to recall Broken Arrow as a center of conservative Christian types (I remember Willie George Ministries from my childhood in the 80's). I can't remember if that's a suburb of OKC or Tulsa, though.
Some (a small, but vocal minority) of liberals are acting flat-out unAmerican. It's either Bush stole the election (puhlease!) or "I don't want to live in a country that voted for Bush." Damn, there will be another Presidential election in four years. The campaign will be well under way in two. If you want to kick the Republicans out of power, there's a sure-fire guaranteed way to do it.
So what exactly is your kinship relation to Mr. Gephardt? I'm guessing some kind of "in-law" via a cousin of his or something.
Oh, you mean Gephart. For a moment I thought you were going to talk about Michael Moore coming up with an anti-Bush sequel.
