Benfica begins their pre-season games the same day my cousin is throwing a picnic to celebrate Benfica's championship. Good way to celebrate last season and look forward to the upcoming season.

    Forca Benfica!!!

It was a great picnic with lots of Benfiquistas (with a few Sportinguistas and Portistas there also). It was only family and friends, but I'd say close to 100 people were there. Lots of food and drinks, and the first Benfica game of the season on TV was an added bonus. I had a great time. :)

By the way, I think there was Sagres there (there was lots of beers I know that), but I don't drink alcohol (except champagne :D ).

It might help if you read the very first post in this thread that says Benfica is hosting Parma on August 7th.

Benfica can't buy plane tickets? August 3rd in Toronto is between 2 of their dates.

You asked if they were playing in Toronto on August 7th, not 3rd.

Anyway, they have a match on July 30th and August 7th before they open up their season with the Supercup on the 13th.

Why would they book a flight on Monday, play a match on Wednesday, then fly back home for another one on Sunday?

I'd go all-in on them not playing in Toronto on August 3rd.

Can anyone confirm that these games are being aired for home use, or are they just being shown at bars and clubs? Here in the States, SPT airs SIC programming.

I want to see the game against Chelsea Sunday. I hope this will be on TV in one form or another? And by the way, what time will this game start?

Sion v Benfica did give on SIC International and people with SPT at home were able to watch it. I assume that the Benfica v Chelsea game will also be able to be viewed privately at home for those who have SPT.
