There is a live feed of tonight's 7 PM reserve match from Portland: http://www.portlandtimbers.com/timbers-live.

The Quakes FO should publicize this. MLS and the Quakes already dropped the ball once about the reserve league this season, announcing the schedule two days after the Quakes Reserves played their home match against RSL.

Portland are up to their typical diving antics already. They got train their reserves into the team culture.

MLS sent some of its poor referees in training, I see.

Martinez' lack of playing time must be down to lacking fitness because he looks pretty good in the reserve match. Hope this means he gets to join the grown-ups table soon.

Portland's evil fake field claims another victim. Teams really should refuse to ever play in that injury trap.

Freakin' fake turf! Looks like Bingham's "done his knee" as they say. Still can't believe MLS let's teams play on that stuff.

Speaking of injuries....I thought Marcus Tracy wasn't any more. Where the heck is he?

Good question. Do you know if reserve games allow more subs? Can't imagine they want Beita to go 90.

Wish this was last night's game. Much more positive from the guys in blue (except of course for needless turf-injury to our keeper-of-the-future)

Oh my . . . I think that's why Evan Newton is 3rd choice. Nice shot, but how did that ball get between Newton and the post?

I wouldn't risk him and his knees on turf.

    That's a fair point.

Their announcer just called the AR a "side judge." Pretty much sums up what Portland knows about soccer.

And dibley calls header and head hit and head ball. He even called it a headshot and all I could think of was call of duty.

I thought #43 looked very good also - don't remember what his name was - an academy player? Also Danny Delgado! OK, slow - we knew that, but very poised, very good passer, very close to getting a goal with some nice little moves to buy himself some space in the box.

And please, more Walter Martinez! If not on the wing, then I think he's better than Fucito as a small speedy forward type or even as CAM if you are pressing for a goal. He has good touch and played generally good passes all night. If he was not playing due to fitness, hopefully this match will change Frank's mind because he was still pretty active and effective right up to the end.

players need minutes to come back from injury regardless of playing surface, so no tracy or chavez probably means neither is close to coming back.

    gray had some wheels.

perry should get a run out in baca's spot sunday....

Baca's or Corrales'. If left to me I'd do Martinez for Corales and Tommy for Baca.

well its not like we dont got guys waiting in the wings; Martinez and Delgado looked nice.

and i can almost assure you the reason for no Tracy was the turf. Thats practically a given
