    I always viewed Fergie's decision to let Keano play for the Irish Nats as pure genius. I see how Fergie used the Irish Nats to get Keano to carry on playing thru the World Cup in '06. I think this season would have been Keano's last if he was still retired from the national team.

    The premise of the question, that SAF let Keane do this, is flawed.
