I'm a big hockey fan. And I know for myself, that when the Canadian teams show up at Nationwide Arena, I sing along to "O Canada." Partly out of respect, and partly because I think it's a nice anthem. So Canadians singing "The Star-Spangled Banner", in a respectful manner? No problem by me.
